  • Originally the 303 Extra Fine, but in 1872 Esterbrook was sued by Gillott for trademark infringement of Gillott’s iconic 303 and 404 pens. Esterbrook then changed their pen numbers to 333 and 444.
  • Considered a school pen for more advanced students.
  • “A very popular pen for public and private schools of higher grade. Most popular pens.”
