Description:
- Name(s): R(?). H. Beall’s Bookkeepers, Premium, The Premium Pen
- Shape: Straight
- Finishes: Bronze
- Tip: Pointed
- Prices: 55¢ per gross
Comments:
- Most likely, Beal’s was the name of a pen maker who had a popular Bookkeeper’s pen but it was no longer being made. Esterbrook produced a couple of other examples like this, such as the Harrison & Bradford’s #505, which they produced after Harrison & Bradford went out of business.
- As is true with other examples on the c1873 salesman’s sample book, this seems to be an older pen, like the #303. By the time the c1874 sample book was issued, the pen had already been renamed to the Premium pen.
- “A large easy action pen; medium fine.” – 1883
