- This is another pen, like the Colorado and Silverine pens, where the official number does not appear on the pen but instead this is one of a series and the imprint includes the series number but not the style number. (Oblique No 1 – Large = #223, Oblique No 2 – Small = #222)
- The shape is based on the original Mordant 1831 patent for an oblique pen (No. 26 in the patent illustration). An oblique pen allows you the advantages of your pen sitting at an oblique angle, while still being able to use a standard straight holder.
