Esterbrook # A1 Professional |
Description: A straight body with a sharp point. An oval vent hole. Good flexibility. Gray finish. |
Remarks: From the writing sample, you can see the flex trying to assert itself even though I was trying to write with minimum pressure. This is an impressive pen. I don't know how rare it is but it commands extra dollars from vendors. Description in 1938 Esterbrook Catalog
"Professional Pen - Extra flexible, fine. For fine and ornamental writing. Gray finish"
Description in Zanerian Catalog
"A pen for ornamental writing, much like the Zanerian Ideal and Gillot's No. 604."
Description in Esterbrook Pens and What They Will Do
"For fine and ornamental writing. A fine flexible pen for ornamental penmanship. A favorite with penmen."
