Esterbrook # 805 Oval Point |
Description: The classic Falcon body with a sharp turned-up tip. An oval vent hole. Gray finish. |
Remarks: The term "Oval Point" refers to the turned-up tip. The pen writes with the under side of the tip rather than with the very end of the tip itself. This style tip made for smoother writing and longer nib life and was used on many pens. Esterbrook only got around to calling it something special on certain pen models. Description in 1938 Esterbrook Catalog "Firm, medium, oval point. Falcon shape. Gray finish. Gold plated"
