Esterbrook #789 Two-Toned Oval Point

Description:

This pen is the same as the #789 except that it is half plated in gold. The heel of the pen is bare steel. The forward bowl section is plated in gold. Gold plated pens were popular in the late 1800s as both a status symbol and because the gold plating protected the steel pen from tarnishing and rusting.
