Esterbrook # 539 Penesco | ||
Description: A straight-bodied pen with a sharp tip. An oval vent hole. The waist area has a wide cutout in the shape of a "V" with wings in an attempt to increase flexibility. "L" shaped slits just forward of the shoulders. The bottom view shows tabs folded underneath the pen body. These tabs were most likely intended to add material at the ends of the wide waist cutout to prevent breakage. Possibly, an ingeniously shaped piece of brass could be inserted there to serve as an under reservoir. |
||
Remarks: Probably a recast of the Esterbrook #126 Double Spring. |
