Description: A straight-bodied pen with a sharp tip. A narrow rectangle vent hole. An embossed roll across the waist. Deep slits forward of the shoulders. Bronze finish. The Illustrated Price List of the Esterbrook Steel Pen Company, January 1, 1876, shows a line engraving of this pen but does not list it in the price list. "#444 The School Pen – Bronze – “Medium Fine.” Largely used in the public schools." |
