| Description: A straight body with a sharp, broad point and a rectangular vent hole. Little flexibility. Gray finish. Available in both fine and broad versions. |

| Remarks: The example in the photograph does not have the embossed "J" mentioned in the descriptions below. This is probably an earlier version of this pen with the "J" designation added later in production life for marketing purposes. The #280 series was made both with and without the embossed "J", and in both broad and fine versions. This is a very firm pen used for engrossing, or making carbon copies. |
