Esterbrook # 756 School Firm Oval |
Description: A straight-bodied pen with sharp point. Turned-up tip. Rectangle vent hole. Gray finish. |
Remarks: This pen comes with two slightly different impression markings. This one is marked "Firm Oval" and the other one is marked "Fine Oval". In the excerpt from the booklet below, someone hedged and described the #756 as "firm fine". If there is any difference between the two differently marked pens, it could be that one marked a fine line and the other a medium line. Description in Seven Popular Esterbrook School Pens: "Oval point. firm fine. Smooth action. Writes easily on soft paper. Wears longer. The type of pen students will use later in life." Description in salesman sample case "School oval"
