| Esterbrook # 352 Drawing Pen |

| Description: A very small, flexible, delicate pen. A straight body with a sharp tip. A tiny tear-drop shaped vent hole located very forward almost to the tip. Bronze finish. |

| Remarks: If the Mammoth Falcon was Esterbrook's largest production pen, the #352 was probably the smallest. I photographed this pen atop a dime to give you a sense of scale. This pen is marked with the pen number, the Esterbrook brand, and "Made in the USA". But the word "Drawing" is not part of the imprint for this example. There was certainnly room for it even with all the other text in the imprint. I believe it was, however, part of its catalog description. This pen is capable of an extremely fine, delicate line. This type pen was often called a "mapping" pen as it was often used for that purpose. This pen is sensitive to ink viscosity and works best with thinner, less viscous ink. It has a very small ink capacity and requires frequent re-dipping. Because this pen is so small, finding a pen holder that will work with it will be difficult. I was able to mount it in an Esterbrook "pen releaser" holder but it was not all that firmly in place. Perhaps you could mount it in a crow quill holder and wedge in toothpick slivers to hold it in place.Or just put it on top of a dime and admire it from time to time. The pen point is delicate and flexible and can be very easily damaged. Description in 1938 Esterbrook Catalog "Very small, superlatively fine, super flexible. Bronze finish"
