| Esterbrook # 128 Extra Fine Elastic Pen |

| Description: Straight body with fine, sharp point. Oval vent hole with blunt ends. "J" shoulder slits. Gray finish. |

| Remarks: An excellent pen with good flexiblity. Capable of lines with generous swells. "#128 The Extra Fine Double Elastic Pen – Gray – The penman’s favorite. In use in the best colleges in America. #128, GP The Extra Fine Double Elastic Pen – Gold – Same as above. Gold Plated." Interestingly, the 1883 Catalog refers to this pen as a "double elastic". This description appears to have been dropped later. This might be an interesting variation for collectors to look for.Two descriptions in the 1938 Esterbrook Pen Catalog
