Esterbrook #1 Oblique
|
|
|
Description:
An oblique pen with a sharp point. A half-circle vent hole. Bronze

|
|
Remarks:
Oblique
pens are popular for calligraphy. The angled head of the pen places the
pen point more perpendicular to the writing surface when used with a
straight pen holder. Oblique pens usually have good flexibility which
allows for dramatic swells in drawn lines.
This particular pen
style has a larger than normal heel radius and will not fit standard
pen holders. I was able to get it fitted to an Esterbrook Pen Releaser
mechanism holder with difficulty.
