Esterbrook # 049 Index Pen |
Description: This pen is in the shape of a pointing finger. Bronze. |
Remarks: While popular in England and Europe, this is one of two known examples of a pointing finger pen style by Esterbrook. This pen arrivcd with a coating of ink on the nib that had probably been there for years. The nib was soaked in ink cleaner for quite a while to remove the ink. Underneath you could see the tarnishing, pitting and corrosion near the tip caused by the old ink. However, this nib still seems to write well. "#049 The Index Pen – Bronze – A fine ladies’ pen" |
